He was predeceased by : his daughter Stephanie Dokken; and his grandparents, Edith Hornish, Ruth and Willis Sandwisch. He is survived by : his parents, David Willis and Sandra Darlene Sandwisch (Barnes); his wife Sylvia Moreno; his son Michael David Sandwisch Jr.; his goddaughter Jennifer J. Jones; his sister Susan Whittaker; and his nephews, Zackery and Nathan Whittaker.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31st 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Proko Funeral Home & Crematory (5111 60th St, Kenosha, WI 53144). A mass of christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 1st 2023 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (7307 40th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53142). A burial will be held on Saturday, April 1st 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Green Ridge Cemetery (6604 7th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53143). Mike went on to work in healthcare and was employed at Vista hospital during the Covid Pandemic in 2020, specifically working in the Covid wing of the hospital. He provided compassionate care to Covid patients and was an integral part in them having the ability to maintain contact with their families.
